Creatalicious Challenges # 6

Hi All,

Here is my DT card for the 6th challenge at Createalicious Challenges. To begin with I know what I wanted to do but struggled a little as I am so use to having a coloured image..

The challenge asks for:

No stamped images, you can stamp sentiments and use punches, diecuts and stickers (anything as long as it is not a stamped image or a digi image).

I have used a Maxi Clear sticker that is a corset and stuck that to the coordinating pattern paper then cut it out.. punched out the holes for the 3mm ribbon to thread through.. ( i will have these stickers in stock soon)

The skirt is a 4 inch Heidi Swapp Flower that I folded in 4.. this was just the perfect size..

The You've got style stamp is a Verve Stamp that I received as a gift from my gorgeous friend Cheryl..

The flower is a Bizzy Becs hydrangea that I coloured in with a Copic Marker.. The Oak leaves are BB and the white background fillers are also BB and now can be purchased in store..

Happy New Year

Hi All,

I just wanted to post this card before the year ended for me here in WA Australia.. As this was the last card I made for the year.. It was a Birthday Card for my dad..

I have 1 hour to go before it hits 12am.. I just want to thank everyone that visits my blog and store.. I have made some Great friends over the past year and learnt so many things while blog hopping and reading tutorials..

Also thank you for the wonderful comments you have left for me.. I look forward to the new year 2010 and continuing the blogging friendships and creating lots of new ones..

Rucillas Cards From Cardmaking Day

Hi All,

Here are the cards Rucilla made (SIL) .. This is her first time ever making cards.. Didn't she do an AMAZING job..

She coloured the images (sugar nellie - gorjuss girls) with copics.. some of the flowers have also been coloured in to match the pattern paper which is Bo Bunny.

The edges have been sponged and rubbed with decorator chalks.. Also used Spellbinders circle and scallops.. also labels 8.. and cuttlebug embossing folder bloom dots..

BB Grosgrain ribbon and BB black belt buckle. Martha Stewart Butterfly punch.. (which was a present from my gorgeous friend Cheryl)

The leaves in the top card is an EK Success punch.. The leaves in the bottom card is a Punch Bunch Punch rock fern in the large and medium size.. I love the layered look of these.. the leaves have also been shimmered with shimmer chalks.. but you can't see this to well in the photo..

Also BB digi tickets were used.. Which are just so easy to use and cut out when you need them..

I do think I am going to have to make a card now in this paper as I just love it..

My Cardmaking Day Cards

Gem Applicator -Home Made-

Hi All,

I just wanted to share this idea with you. As I do sell loose pearls, rhinestones and droplets I found it hard to use these with tweezers as they would always seem to slip out of them..

I did find this pink applicator gel which i was going to sell in store but found the cost I paid for it to the cost I would need to sell a little blob at was just a total rip off.

So I went searching around the house and tried HEAPS of things.. then this morning it hit me to use and try Blue Tack.. Guess what it worked a treat. This stuff is cheap (i paid $2.50AUD for mine) and you can get it anywhere (post office, stationary store, department store, etc).. I am not sure what it is called out side Australia, it may even have the same name.. As it is made in Australia.. But I am sure it should be available international..

I have taken a pic for you to see.. All you do is roll a little ball at the end of a wooden tooth pick or skewer..(it does need to be wood) then this picks up the Gem allowing you to place it perfect every time.. just roll the blue tack applicator off to the side and you are done..

The Last of My Xmas Cards

I thought I would just get the last of my cards uploaded before I went to start making the food for tomorrow's lunch and dinner..

The first pic of the santa I found on a childrens colouring in site... Can't remember which one it was though but you can find some great pics on these sites and they are all free to use which is great..

Another Christmas Card

I thought i would quickly post this before I went to start getting dinner ready...

I did have this all made and set out until I just noticed that the BB Digi sentiment is "Joy to the World" and it looks like Tilda is sitting on the world.. LOL..

I ended up stamping a Christmas post stamp on the center of the flower and edged it with a sand coloured ink... I did like how that looked..

I coloured tilda in with copics. I embossed the world with Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Christmas Ornaments.. Which I believe is no longer available.

Well best go and get dinner started then I can come back and catch up on my commenting..

A Bunch of Xmas Cards

I thought I would post these in one batch as these are the final cards I made for my family member, for her to give to friends.. They are quite plain for me but that is what she had asked for.. It is so hard to make so many cards and try make each one different..

I am working on my cards now that I will give to family members.. I must say I will be glad when I am finished and can just sit down and make a card for the fun of it..lol

I also want to add.... All the Bizzy Becs customers that visit my blog I want to thank you for your support over the past year and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year..

Xmas Card # 6

I wanted to share this card with you.. I made it for my friend that I have had since I was a teenager.. I was very happy with how it turned out..

However I did cheat a little as I have been pressed for time.. I did print out the coloured Pixie for this card as she did match the papers so well, which a kaiser craft.. I did just apply some stickles green to her wings and stickles star dust to he white fluffy bits..

The card is plain but do like the effect of the 3 layers..

The NOEL is a BB digi ticket that I cut the edges off.. I coloured the Noel in red as for some reason when I think of this word it always appears red in my mind.. LOL..

Creatalicious Challenges # 5

Hi All,

Here is my DT card for the new challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges.. We are all ready up to number 5.. Wow it has gone so fast...

This challenges Theme is -

Something Old, Something New, Something Torn, Something Blue.. and it does not have to be wedding themed..

With my card My Something New is the Leaves.. As this punch is brand new for me and just took it out the pack for this card..

My Something Old is actually the lace.. I have this craft box that I have had since I was 13 and it is full of 100's of laces.. So this lace is around 19 years old..

The image is a Sugar Nellie Stamp.. I just love her.. The Hydrangea is one of the New Bizzy Becs flowers, this one is Teal..

The two white flower fillers in the background at the top roses are new to Bizzy Becs and will be available after Christmas in a variety of colours.. along with lots of other goodies..

Well I hope you like as I did enjoy putting it together at the very last minute..

Christmas Card # 4

Here is the 4th card to the batch I am making.. I did have fun colouring this image with my copics. (RAK from Cheryl, thanks heaps for that).

The Ho Ho Ho ticket is from BB digi store.. Also used is Spellbinders Labels 7.. and Stickles Star Dust..

I know the top half of the paper is basic grey but not sure on the bottom one.

Christmas Card # 3

Hi All,

Here is the 3rd card to the lot that I have been making for my family member..

The santa is a Sugar Nellie stamp.. which can be purchased at Funky Kits..

The pattern paper is Gorgeous Magnolia Paper and can be purchased from Kellie at Magnolia down Under.. However I do think that all the xmas paper has sold. but keep your eye out for the next collections of stunning paper..

I did use a BB Digi Ticket but with this one I cut the square outside off..

I coloured in the image with copic markers and use stickles star dust on the white parts of his jacket and hat..

Will be back tomorrow night with the next card.. I seem to be on a roll with them.. LOL.. I have been having fun colouring in..

Christmas Card # 2

Hi All,

I finally got a chance to upload my second card.. This one is for a male so I needed to keep it plain and flower free.. I did think the holly in the corner could pass though..

I coloured the image with Copics.. The santa hat on the elephants head is actually the santa hat from the tilda in the below card.. It fit perfectly on him I thought..

The Christmas Wishes tag is from BB digi tickets.

In the post below I did have some emails about what stamp the "Santa is Coming to Town" is. That is a Magnolia Stamp..

Now I am off to catch up on some commenting.. I have fallen so far behind in things after having this dreadful flu which is now getting better...woohooo..

Christmas Card # 1

Hi All,

OH WOW.. I have been so sick this weekend with the flu.. Although I can not seem to keep myself away from my craft room.. I seem to do my best work when I am sick..LOL..

The family member that I made the vintage birthday card for loved it so much they asked if I could make 5 Christmas cards.. Of course I can not make them simple if I tried..

I used We R Memory Keepers Pattern Paper.. Gorgeous Tilda is sitting on a CC Designs Digi Stamp.. I used BB Star Flowers and New 5mm Pearls.

I did use Stickles on her hat and the flower but I can't see the sparkle so much in the photo.. Oh yeah and I coloured her with Copics..

Hopefully I will be back again in a few days with my second card.

Rest In Peace

Hi All,

Today will be 1 year since we put down our sweet little angel.. it is hard to think that 1 year has gone by so fast..

I love this pic of her.. She just had a bath and blow dry and was sooooo fuffy.... when she was wet she looked like a skinny rat....LOL.... Plus she come to visit me in my room and of course I had a camera ready.. ..

So Rest In Peace Minnie ( pet name I called her) I hope you are having fun up there with our mum and keeping her company..

Now I need a tissue...lol

Vintage Birthday Card

Hi All,

I hope you are all well.. I have finally had some time to myself tonight and decided to get a birthday card done for a family members birthday on Friday.

The pattern papers 'Flowers' and 'Music sheet' used are from Bizzy Becs Digi Downloads. Along with a BBDD Ticket stub Flourish Style - Everyday 2.. I just love the style of this ticket I was so happy with the design when I finished.

The Hydrangeas and mini roses used is also a Bizzy Becs paper flowers.. These are new in store and colours between the two flowers co-ordinate with each other. I designed them to be that way.. and the colours match well with Basic Grey Papers,October Afternoon, Bo Bunny also Kaiser Craft..

The pearl hearts in the top corner are also new to Bizzy Becs embellishments.. You can get these in store towards the end of the week..

I must say I did have fun colouring her in with my copics, and there was lots and lots of sponging on the edges....LOL.

Creatalicious Challenges # 4

Hi All,

I can't believe we are already up to the 4th Creatalicious Challenge.. I have been loving seeing everyones creations..

Here is my DT card where the theme is

*Christmas, Snowflakes and Sparkles..

The image is a CC Designs new Xmas image.. I have coloured her with Copics.. And used Diamond Dust at her feet and on the snowflakes.. this is going to be in stock by the 23rd Nov.. As it is in transit to me now.. This stuff is stunning and a little goes a long way..

The Music Sheet in the background is a Stamp It stamp called Pianoforte.. I just love this.. if you want one it can be ordered in..

I used Basic Grey papers.. The snowflakes are a Sizzlit.. Now sure if they are available any more though... I also used Spellbinders Deckled Edge Nests..

I have also been working on some Ticket stubs and Tags for the digi store..

To use just click on the image to open up and then right click and save it to your computer.. I recommend the desktop as it is easy to find then. Open the image up in any Graphic Software and print from there.. I use Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Paint..

The size of the image when printed is 5cm wide x 2.7cm tall at 300 dpi. Easy as that.. Hope you enjoy!!!..

Mulberry Digi Paper

Hi All,

Over the weekend I did design this digi paper that's full of Mulberries.. This one will be available as a Free Download when my new Digi Store opens soon.. It does come in 3 Colours.. Purple, Brown and Dark Mauve... I used Dark Mauve on my card..

I just had to make a card. This is the first time I have used my Sugar Nellie Stamp.. She is just so adorable.

With the Pearl Loops on my flower arrangement, this is just Pearl Ribbon String that I cut and looped and glued with PVA.. once dried they are perfect for arranging..

These will be available in store this week along with a heap of NEW flowers and Leaves.. I just need to take photos of it all then upload..

Also for some reason my background seems to have disappeared.. Not sure why.. No other background will work either.. Hope that is fixed soon.. It must be a blogger thing..
